Dr. Oakley Brown is a sports and performance chiropractor and owner of Health Sciences Lab who helps athletes and active individuals move better, recover faster, and build resilient bodies so they can train, compete, and perform at their highest level.
Education & Credentials
Dr. Oakley earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from the University of Western States in 2023, where he also completed a Master of Science in Sports Medicine. He holds the CCSP® designation through the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians and maintains the certification through continuing education in advanced sports injury assessment and treatment.
During this time, he worked with athletes from a variety of sports in competition settings and developed a strong clinical focus on performance care and sports injury management.
Athletic Background
As a former track and field athlete with the UBC Thunderbirds at the University of British Columbia, Dr. Oakley understands firsthand the physical demands of training and competition. He has a particular interest in working with runners, helping them manage common running injuries while maintaining consistency in their training.
He works with athletes from a wide range of sports and disciplines, including strength athletes and high-intensity functional training athletes, helping them recover from injuries while continuing to train and perform at a high level. He also works with athletes looking to optimize movement quality, recovery, and training progression to support long-term performance.
Community & Training
Outside the clinic, Dr. Oakley enjoys weight training, skiing, backpacking, and staying active in the local fitness community. You may even catch him training in a Hyrox class at Train West Van.
